Matthew began his journey with yoga over 12 years ago to aid his studies in dance as he was pursuing his bachelor's and master's degree in Music Theatre. it wasn't until 5 years ago that he truly dedicated himself to the practice. He had began a journey to look at his patterns and how he was operating in his life and from there decided that yoga was an amazing tool to aid with this. As he was traveling the world in 2016 he met yoga teachers from the U.S., India, Australia and more that all inspired him to pursue yoga as a facilitator. He even ended up being in India (the birth place of yoga) on International Day of Yoga, without even planning it. If that wasn't a sign, I don't know what is! That coupled with how much he felt yoga can help with the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies is what called him to share the beauty of yoga, thus Quiet Mind Yoga was born! With QMY Matthew hopes to reach people all over the world with yoga. While doing that he also hopes to build a sense of community with his participants. Creating experiences and environments for everyone to come as they are and feel completely welcome! It doesn't matter where you are at physically, or if you think yoga is for only a certain type of person, here at QMY yoga knows no labels!
