Matthew began his journey with yoga over 14 years ago to aid his studies in the arts. It wasn't until 7 years ago that he was lead to fully dedicate himself to this practice.
Around that time Matthew had begun doing work to look at the patterns and habits of his life. It was because of this that he noticed yoga was an amazing tool to pair with the work. As he was traveling the world in 2016 he met yoga teachers from the U.S., India, Australia and more that all inspired him to pursue yoga as a facilitator. He even ended up being in India (the birth place of yoga) on International Day of Yoga, without planning it. If that wasn't a sign, I don't know what is! That coupled with how much he felt yoga can help with the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies is what called him to share the beauty of yoga.
Thus Quiet Mind Yoga was born! With QMY Matthew hopes to help people all over the world to heal and set themselves free through yoga and other modalities. While doing this he also hopes to build a sense of community with his participants. Creating experiences and environments for everyone to come as they are and feel completely welcome. It doesn't matter where you are at physically, or if you think yoga is for only a certain type of person, here at QMY yoga knows no labels!
