A Weekend with:

Michael stewart

Michael Stewart (Instagram Post (45)) (3).png

We are so excited to bring you world renowned yoga teacher, Michael Stewart, visiting us all the way from Germany!

Michael brings over 35 years of teaching experience and is the creator of Shanta Vira Yoga, a complete yoga system that blends movement, breath, meditation, mantra, and subtle practices into one deeply embodied experience.

This weekend immersion is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your body and breath, and explore yoga as a living, breathing practice, not just something you “do,” but something you feel and live.

Whether you are newer to yoga or have been practicing for many years, this is a beautiful opportunity to deepen your awareness, strengthen your connection to yourself and the poses, and experience yoga beyond what we are able to explore in a regular group class.

Michael has studied a wide range of yoga traditions including Jivamukti Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, and Tantra Hatha Yoga, and has spent time in India deepening his studies with respected teachers and lineages.

Drawing from decades of lived experience, Michael offers yoga in a way that is grounded, accessible, and deeply transformational, guiding students into a practice that is both powerful and gentle, structured and intuitive.

All workshops are open to all levels. You do not need to be flexible, advanced, or experienced in breathwork, mantra, or meditation to participate. Each session will be guided in a way that is supportive, inclusive, and adaptable to your body and your experience level. That doesn't mean there won't be challenges but modifications will be a available.

To learn more about Michael himself and Shanta Vira Yoga you can visit www.shantavirayoga.org.

You are welcome to attend any single workshop, or join us for the full weekend immersion.

While each session stands on its own, we do encourage students to attend multiple workshops if possible, as the practices build upon one another and create a deeper, more integrated experience.

What we will cover:

Workshop 1- Intro into Shanta Vira Yoga Practice

Friday, February 27th, 2026 @6:30pm - 9:30pm

This opening workshop offers a gentle introduction to the Shanta Vira Yoga system and the themes we will be exploring throughout the weekend.

You will experience a balanced blend of movement, breath, and meditation, and gain insight into the meaning behind the practices we will be working with.

This session is highly recommended as a foundation for the rest of the weekend.

Workshop 2- Awaken Your Inner Fire

Saturday, February 28th, 2026 @10:30am-1:30pm

This asana-focused workshop is designed to help you feel stronger, more energized, and more alive in your body.

Michael will guide you through a dynamic and invigorating practice that encourages movement through stagnant or stuck places: physically, energetically, and emotionally.

This session will be more physically active and challenging than the other workshops, but it will be taught in a mindful, supportive, and accessible way.

You are encouraged to listen to your body, take breaks when needed, and modify postures as appropriate for you.

Expect to leave feeling empowered, grounded, and deeply connected to your breath.

Workshop 3- Subtle Practices (Pranayama, Mantra, Mudra and More)

Saturday, February 28th, 2026 @: 4pm - 7pm

This workshop introduces gentle and accessible subtle practices such as breathwork (pranayama), mantra, mudra, meditation, and energetic awareness.

These practices are powerful tools for calming the nervous system, deepening self-awareness, and creating a more meditative quality in your yoga practice and daily life.

No prior experience with breathwork or mantra is required.

Workshop 4- Full Practice + Closing Circle

Sunday, March 1st, 2026 @: 9:30am - 1pm

This closing workshop weaves together all the elements explored throughout the weekend into one complete and nourishing practice.

We will conclude with a closing circle for reflection, integration, and connection.
