Meet the Quiet Mind Yoga team! We are a passionate group of facilitators here to serve our community by way of Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, Sound Healing and Energy Healing.

Matthew Morales
Owner + Instructor
Matthew began his journey with yoga over 14 years ago to aid his studies in the arts. It wasn't until 7 years ago that he was lead to fully dedicate himself to this practice. Through a series of destined events Matthew decided to become a yoga instructor in 2016. Ever since then his intention has been to help as many people as possible to set themselves free and heal through the beauty that is yoga. Matthew also facilitates energy healing and breathwork journey's to aid in the healing and growth of his clients.

Laura Cantu
Instructor
Laura has been practicing yoga for more than 6 years. One of the main reasons she enjoys teaching yoga is to help individuals improve their mental health. She likes to focus her sessions on the importance of embracing self-love. Furthermore, she loves to incorporate aroma therapy and create unique playlist for her classes. Yoga helps me and you to stay focused and in the present moment.

Karla Cavazos Garza
Instructor
Karla has been practicing yoga since she was old enough to buy her own gym membership after high school. Karla fell in love with yoga and soon after she started following Matthew with Quiet Mind Yoga and he inspired her to follow her dream of becoming a yoga instructor. What Karla loves the most is working small pop-up events with local restaurants and small business’, and helping spread the joy of yoga to our community.

Erika Contreras
Instructor
Erika was introduced to yoga over 16 years ago. In 2010 she traveled to Cancun to complete her first 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training at It's Yoga Cancun. This was an experience that changed her life. She has had the opportunity to attend trainings and workshops with many internationally known teachers and continues to expand her study of yoga to this day! She is definitely one of the pioneers of the RGV Yoga community. Erika strongly believes that teaching yoga is a great opportunity to help people transform their lives, finding the balance between a healthy body, happy soul and a strong yet calm mind.

Mayela Salinas
Instructor
Mayela started her yoga practice 12 years ago due to a health situation she had. Thanks to meditation, breathwork and yoga as a lifestyle her health improved tremendously and she got better . Since then Mayela has expanded her journey in the holistic world through aromatherapy, coaching and healthy habits. She loves to share and create community.

Melissa Terry
Instructor
Melissa started practicing yoga in 2010 to ease the stresses of graduate school. She became enamored with it and felt compelled to complete a 200hr RYT in 2014 with an emphasis in vinyasa and ashtanga yoga. In 2017, during her second pregnancy, she found a passion for supporting birthing people and became a certified prenatal yoga teacher. Melissa sees yoga as essential to strengthening mental and physical health and to fostering a sense of community. Her classes are fun and light-hearted, challenging students to work hard and play even harder.

Ana Paula Morales
Instructor
Ana Paula has been practicing yoga for 10 years. It all started with the intention of exercising but once she started noticing her overall health improving she got hooked! A few years later she got certified as a Yoga Teacher to deepen her practice and she ended up falling in love with teaching too. It fills her heart with joy guiding others towards the blissful feeling that yoga awakens in the mind, body and soul.
